The Alliance Center is a multidisciplinary maternal mental health and wellness practice. We offer individual psychotherapy, medication management, group therapy, support groups, classes, and workshops. Our team also includes providers who offer specialized services such as pelvic floor physical therapy, yoga, and other wellness modalities, all under one roof.

      - Individual therapy: One-on-one support with a licensed therapist to address your personal needs and goals.
- Groups: Facilitated by a mental health professional, these offer connection, education, and support in a small, safe setting.
- Workshops: Focused learning experiences on a specific topic, often interactive and skill-based.
- Classes: Structured, recurring sessions—such as yoga or movement—that support mind-body health.

Yes! We offer both in-person sessions at our Stamford location and secure telehealth sessions for clients in Connecticut. Some of our groups and classes are also available virtually.

Absolutely. We recognize that perinatal mental health affects the whole family. Partners, spouses, and other family members are welcome in certain therapy sessions, groups, and classes, especially in our Processing Your Partner’s Diagnosis offering.

Yes. We are in-network with select insurance plans for individual psychotherapy services, including Anthem, Aetna, and Husky. For other medical or wellness services provided at our center, coverage will depend on your specific plan. While these services may not be billed directly to insurance, some may be eligible for partial or full reimbursement by your insurance company. If we are out-of-network or unable to bill directly, we’re happy to provide you with a detailed receipt (“superbill”) to submit to your insurer. We want you to be as informed as possible about your benefits. If you plan to use insurance, please contact your provider before your first session and ask: - What are my mental health benefits?
- Do I need pre-authorization?
- How many sessions are covered per year?
- What is my deductible, and has it been met?
- What is my co-pay?
- Are any of the other services I’m interested in eligible for reimbursement?
The cost of sessions varies depending on the type of service. A portion—or in some cases, all—may be covered under your plan.

You can still receive care with us. For services not covered by insurance, we offer private-pay rates and can provide receipts for you to submit for potential reimbursement.

While all of our clinicians have their unique style and therapeutic orientation, we generally take a holistic, evidence-based approach that blends traditional mental health treatment with body-based practices and community connection. We tailor our care to meet your unique needs.

PMADs, or Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, are the most common complications of pregnancy and the postpartum period. They can occur during pregnancy or within the first year after birth and affect birthing parents, non-birthing parents, and adoptive parents and include postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. PMADs are common, temporary, and treatable with the right support. If you think you might be experiencing symptoms, reaching out for help is a powerful first step toward feeling like yourself again.

Yes—The Alliance Center is a family-friendly space, and we understand that finding childcare isn’t always easy. For therapy sessions, babies who are not yet mobile are welcome to join you if needed. For our parent-and-child offerings, your little one is an important part of the experience and is encouraged to participate. In other situations, whether in a group, class, or workshop, we handle attendance with babies on a case-by-case basis to make sure the environment works well for you, your child, and other participants. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for you to access support—because we know that childcare challenges should never be a barrier to getting the care, connection, and community you need.

We ask that clients provide at least 24 hours notice if they need to cancel a class, group, workshop, or session in order to receive a full refund. We also understand that life with children can be unpredictable—especially for mothers. If something unexpected comes up, please reach out to us as soon as possible. While we can’t guarantee a refund outside the 24-hour window, we’ll always do our best to work with you and find a solution.
