HOW WE CAN HELP

Our Offerings

Please take a moment to explore below and find one of our tailored offerings to nourish your mind, body and spirit.

Individual Therapy

Also called counseling, psychotherapy, and talk therapy,  this option is available to you if you're looking to speak with a maternal mental health specialist, one on one, confidentially.

People choose to start individual work for a multitude of reasons such as seeking support through a life transition (like motherhood), resolving past trauma, learning tools to manage anxiety/depression, developing insight about themselves and patterns or simply gaining guidance on how to live a more fulfilling life.

Individual therapy is an effective way to work through:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety and Obsessive compulsive disorder

  • Birth trauma

  • Fertility struggle

  • Before, during & after pregnancy

  • Role transitions

  • Relationship changes

  • Adapting to your new identity as a parent.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is when multiple people are treated at the same time by one or more therapists. Group therapy is an effective tool in treating symptoms of perinatal depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and more. Being in community with others, in a safe and nonjudgemental space, helps to build connection and be validated in your experience arriving at motherhood.

Our group facilitators are specially trained in perinatal mental health, the fertility journey, loss and grief, and trauma.

Navigating the Unexpected:
an (in)Fertility & Loss Support Series

EVERY OTHER WEDNESDAY | 7 - 8:30 PM | VIRTUAL

Pregnancy After Loss:
Support Series

EVERY OTHER TUESDAY | 7 - 8:30 PM | IN PERSON

  • Pregnancy after loss is uniquely challenging. A pregnancy pre-loss might have felt hopeful, exciting, tangible, and full of wonderful expectations. In stark contrast, a pregnancy post-loss might experience those same emotions while also being filled with anxiety, guilt, fear, uncertainty, and sadness. Unfortunately, what many call their “rainbow pregnancy” often comes with a host of other complex (and often conflicting) emotions that might be difficult to process.

If you are struggling through a pregnancy after experiencing a loss, you are not alone.

This group will provide an opportunity for you to explore this experience with other women who are also currently pregnant after living through a loss.

    Cost: $40/individual $75/couple

  • Individuals who are currently pregnant after experiencing a loss (miscarriage, termination for medical reasons, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, stillbirth, neonatal death, infant loss…etc.) and:

Are struggling with conflicting and/or complicated emotions associated with their pregnancy after that loss

Want to connect with other women who are pregnant after loss

Who feel ready to support others who are pregnant after a loss

This group is facilitated by Lielle Sugar, JD, MSW, & peer support specialist.

  • In this group we’ll talk through the unique emotional needs of those expecting after the unexpected, and the ongoing grief that accompanies this phase in the journey. Along with the needs, we’ll offer non-judgmental support by facilitated dialogue and when needed thought prompts along with journal suggestions.

Every participant will have the opportunity to share where they are in their journey, what has been coming up for them that is presenting the need for support, and whether or not they’d like suggestions of ‘solutions’ to try. We will close every session with a guided mini holding space for our grief meditation.

  • Those whose road to expecting has had some unexpected hurdles along the way; primarily infertility and / or loss.

This group is facilitated by Desirae Whittle, Founder of Harmony Births Doula Services, birth doula, & IVF mom

Our approach to psychoeducational support groups is unique. If you’re feeling confused, sad, or overwhelmed by your child’s needs, you are not alone. Living as a Neurodiverse Parent:
Support Series

COMING VERY SOON

Processing Your Birth:
Session

  • Giving birth is a monumental, life-altering event. In the best of circumstances, it can leave you feeling stronger and more empowered in your sense of self. However, that is not the case for everyone and sometimes the birth experience can leave you confused, disconnected, violated, or traumatized.

The National Institutes of Health reports that 45% of new mothers experience birth trauma. The effects can continue long after the birth itself when things don’t go according to "plan" and the outcome isn't what you expected. If we're not given the space to effectively process our birth stories, it can bring up feelings of discomfort, anxiety, depression and lead to perinatal post-traumatic stress disorder (9% of birthing people according to Postpartum Support International).

Through our Birth Story Processing offering, you’ll have the chance to meet with one of our expert providers for targeted, short term (1-3) sessions where you will be provided with support and a framework to help you narrate your birth experience with the hope you will find understanding and healing.

Let us help you tell your story.

Cost: $150/session (not covered by insurance).

Processing Your Partners Diagnosis:
Session

  • Partners are often overlooked when it comes to the perinatal period but the reality is that 10% of partners will experience a Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder (PMAD) if their birthing partner is also suffering. Regardless of a formal diagnosis, it can be difficult to sort through, understand what this all means and find ways to support your partner and yourself through this period of transition.

Thankfully you don't have to do it alone. Please reach out if you want a space to process what is going on with your partner, learn ways to cope, and understand how to support your family.

This is an opportunity to have your own space to meet 1:1 with a maternal mental health specialist for short term, targeted, and solution focused session(s).

Cost: $150/session (inquire about insurance coverage).
