Lielle Sugar

PERINATAL PSYCHOTHERAPIST AND GROUP FACILITATOR

About Lielle

I specialize in supporting people who are struggling to build their families. This includes living through infertility and its associated treatments, pregnancy loss, pregnancy after loss, and so much more. With the right support, I believe that people can find the ability within themselves to make it through the family-building process, and adjust to the new normal that many of them may have to face.

Utilizing the skills I developed in school as well as my personal and professional experiences, I have learned to help peer support groups navigate this process of healing, supporting each other, building relationships, and generally working through hardships.

I believe that by learning how to work with our struggle instead of living in our struggle, we are giving ourselves the tools to get through the rest of our lives in a way we can be proud of.

CORE VALUES

Comfort, Safety, Perspective, Humor & Progress.

What is it like to work with me?

Making people feel comfortable and safe is something that has come naturally to me in life. My inclinations, years of experience, and continuous learning have taught me to not only create that environment, but also to validate, comfort, educate, support, and hold people wherever they are in their pain.

Why this work?

After graduating from Law School, I experienced my own years-long fertility and pregnancy loss journey ending in the birth of my two IVF children. The support I longed for during that time opened my eyes to a need for better support within the field. I went back to school, hoping to make sure that others have the support that I always wanted but never received.
